Your home in the UK
Choose between living with a British family or in a modern student residence.
Living with a British family
The best way to experience life in another home and the favourite choice of our students. It is an ideal chance to improve your English by using it every day with the family, and to get to know British culture first-hand. The family provides halal breakfast and dinner, plus services such as lifts and laundry.
- Daily, direct practice with native speakers
- Meals provided
- Laundry
- Getting to know British culture
- Internet
The family was so kindโฆ I was very comfortable with them, and that's the most important thing. The family was the mother Nevada and her daughter Aisha. Nevada loved showing me nice places in the area and we went out a lot to explore. She always checked that I was comfortable, and thank God I always was.
Student: Manar Al-Maqbali
Student residence
A diverse environment with students from all over the world. Each student has a private room with their own bathroom, and shares a kitchen with three or four neighbours. There is a cinema, billiards, table tennis and PlayStation, and the residence is close to the school, so students simply walk.
- Grocery store: 1 minute walk
- Street of Arabic halal restaurants: 3 minutes walk
- Language schools: 8โ15 minutes walk

A certificate to be proud of
Our partner schools hold a graduation ceremony at the end of the course, where each student receives a certificate accredited by the British Council.
What students and parents say
Studying abroad independently is an experience you don't forget; it's one of the best I've had, thanks to Alif Yaa's great organisation, which made it comfortable and fun. It helped me improve my English and deal with people from many nationalities and cultures.
Academically, the benefit was huge. My level rose noticeably and I moved up to a higher level in just two weeks. Every week they gave us 100 words to memorise and master in speaking and writing.
Alefya group treat their students like one family. We didn't miss anything because they are really good and helpful. The other interesting thing is that I studied in Lila school which is an integrated school to study. The teachers were so kind and the administration as well.
I sent my son Majid to study in Liverpool through Alif Yaa, who played the biggest role in following up with him from the first moment until he came home. There was no shortcoming at all, whether in accommodation or the school where Majid studied.
Your help went beyond arrangements and organisation. You played a big role in building our self-confidence and teaching us to rely on ourselves, values that will stay with us forever.
I wonโt just say the best office, but the best family that looked after us abroad. Nothing was ever missing; everything was organised and coordinated, with care for every side of study, leisure and accommodation.
